WEEK 1A: MY TEMPLATE

This is my very first attempt to create a Blog and I am very excited to start learning about all different kinds of Social Media.

I wasn't really sure which template to use since I was looking for one where I could change the background picture depending on the subject of the blog.
I tried many different ones but couldn't find one that gave me the option to upload my own background picture so I am still looking for the perfect template for my Blog or maybe I just need to learn how to use Blogger's tools better.

In the meantime, I chose this one because I love nature.
I love walking, hiking, camping and traveling discovering the beauties of nature.
I also love taking pictures. When I travel I take hundreds of pictures because I feel like I have to register and share every special moment and place with everyone.

It looks like there is a lot to learn using "Blogger.com" and I hope by the end of this course I will be able to create amazing Blogs that people will find interesting and will keep following.

  1. I actually like this theme a lot! I like how the background is soft and not sharp, keeping your eyes on the content but also giving it and outdoorsy vibe! I would definitely see this for a travel blog!

  2. Priscilla,
I agree, the background is a nice choice. For anyone that likes to walk or hike or has spent any time in places like Montana, the picture conveys similar emotions to the memories from those experiences. Looking forward to reading more!

  3. I really enjoyed your blog. I like the choice of the background. It's very calming and not busy. I was not aware that we were able to change the picture for each blog. That is a very interesting idea.

  4. Hi Priscilla,
I like your background choice, I like hiking too. You can upload your own photo by choosing Template (from the menu options on the left side of the screen), then underneath the two samples that say "Live on Blog" and "Mobile" you click on "Customize". Then choose the "Background" option from the menu on the left and it will let you upload your own photo. My directions are making it sound harder than it really is, sorry!

    1. Thank you so much for your help, I was hoping someone would give me a step by step on this because I looked everywhere and couldn't find how to do it. I will try next time for sure!

I immediately found myself able to connect with the nature theme in your blog. It is a wonderful choice for a theme. I like that you are upfront and honest about your blog design and willing to try different methods to find what works best for you. Great job and am looking forward to reading this blog.
